Virginia may hold the key to passage of the Equal Rights Amendment. Ratification by 38 states is required in order for the ERA to be added to the Constitution and 37 states have now ratified it. Resolutions to ratify the ERA are now pending in the Virginia General Assembly. If they pass, Virginia will provide the last state ratification needed for the ERA to become part of the US Constitution.
Follow the progress of the ratification in the Virginia Senate and in the Virginia House of Delegates and contact your state legislators to tell them you support ERA passage.
