The Honorable Liam O’Grady, Senior United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, assumed Senior status on May 1, 2020. As such, pursuant to the By‐Laws of the Virginia Women Attorneys Association (“VWAA”), the VWAA will empanel a Judicial Screening Committee (“Committee”) to interview and consider candidates for the judicial vacancy. The Committee will consist of at least five VWAA members.
Interviews of candidates will be conducted virtually via Zoom on January 28, 2021. Candidates interested in applying should submit an application to Maureen E. Carr (mcarr@beankinney.com) and Kristi Cahoon Kelly (kkelly@kellyguzzo.com), Co‐Chairs of the Committee, by January 8, 2021. If you are completing an online application please include mcarr@beankinney.com, kkelly@kellyguzzo.com in the field for question #4 so they will receive the applications directly. The application can also be downloaded as a PDF as well as the Rules of the Judiciary Screening Committee.
